Spring 2025 Interior Design Trends & Exactly Where to Shop Them in Placer County, CA

Spring is a season that feels like a fresh start. You want clean out all the st*ff you’ve hoarded the past year (since the last Spring clean), open the windows for some fresh air, and maybe do a little interior refresh

This year’s interior design trends are all about organic textures, playful colors, adding funky shapes, and embracing functionality over “more more more”. You don’t have to do a full refresh each season, (in fact I highly recommend you don’t only shop trends for a more timeless feel) but I’ve got a breakdown of what is trending and exactly where to shop them in Placer County.

LESS BEIGE, MORE SOFT, EARTHY COLOR PALETTES

Trending: Warm neutrals, soft terracottas, sage greens and powdery blues are making homes feel grounded and serene, without so much white & greige (warm beige-y greys).

Where to shop:

  • For budget-friendly finds: Homegoods & Target

  • Loomis Paint Store

  • Pottery Barn

  • West Elm

STATEMENT STONE & MIXED MATERIALS

Trending: Marble (forever and always), travertine, and natural stone details are showing up in everything from coffee tables to statement shower enclosures. The key? Mixing materials like wood, stone and metal for depth and contrast.

Where to shop:

  • DMD Marble & Granite

  • Bedrosians Tile & Stone

  • Arizona Tile

FURNITURE WITH A PERSONALITY. CURVED AND SCULPTURAL PIECES

Trending: Hard lines are softening. Expect to see more curved sofas, rounded accent chairs and organic shapes. Less boxy, angular furniture. This trend is all about comfort meets elegance.

Where to shop:

  • Feathered Nest

  • The Design Shop

INTENTIONAL MAXIMALISM

Trending: Minimalism isn’t dead, but it is getting a new personality. Layered textures. Bold Art. Curated collections that feel personal, yet uncluttered. Every piece tells a story.

Where to shop:

  • Budget Friendly: Michaels

  • The Design Shop

  • Your 5th wall: Ceilings are the new statement moment in a room. Think wallpaper, lacquer, millwork. Here’s a favorite wallpaper resource: Farrow & Ball

BLURRING THE LINES BETWEEN INDOOR-OUTDOOR LIVING

Trending: More than ever, homes are blurring the lines between indoors and out. Expect large sliding doors, natural wood furniture and LOTS of plants to bring that airy, nature-inspired feel inside. And some extra life.

Where to shop:

  • For outdoor furniture & plants: Green Acres

  • Good bang for the buck: Costco

  • High-end outdoor furniture, pottery and water fountains:  Pottery World

Tell me! Which trend are you most excited about? If you need help finding the perfect neighborhood (or home) to match your dream aesthetic, I happen to know someone.
